Cross Country

On March 31st, our college ran our whole school Cross Country. Students dressed up in their house colours and creative costumes to run or walk along with their year level to gain points for their house. Munro took the win this year! We had an inflatable wipe-out course along with food trucks and music performance for students to enjoy. It was great day filled with great sportsmanship and fun. Harmony Week Events

To celebrate Harmony Week at Lyndale Secondary College, we had two events going on at school! We had an activity day on the 22nd of March, and a parade on the 29th of the same month. Activity Day – 22nd March On the 22nd of March, we had our Harmony Activity Day! The teachers and some of the students helped out during Lunch to hold this event. Pi (๐›‘) Day Event 2022

On the 23rd of March, Lyndale Secondary College hosted an event for Pi day at lunchtime, consisting of activities around pi. Students from all year levels were welcomed to participate in a head-to-head, circle drawing and pi recitation competition. The pi competition was a great way for students to memorise the digits of pi. The winner of the pi recital had won with 26 digits of pi, while the runners up were close behind with 20. Interschool Sporting Event

On the 3rd of March we had our Intermediate Boys and Girls Volleyball, Boys Cricket and Boys Tennis teams out representing the College. It was a great day with beautiful weather and heaps of fun. Everyone had a great time and came back with great results. The BOYS CRICKET team came in with an amazing 1st place. The BOYS VOLLEYBALL team placed at 3rd place, the BOY TENNIS team placed 4th and the GIRLS VOLLEYBALL team placed 4th. District Swimming Carnival

On the 11th of March 2022, the district swim team headed out to Noble Park Aquatic center to compete against the other schools in our district. After a successful day, 10 out of 20 students were able to receive either a medal or a trophy for their excellent swimming. Science has for centuries, been a male dominant academic area. In fact, most academic areas have been male dominant. Women have had a very small amount of impact in the various fields of science in the past, due to sexist beliefs. There have been so many restrictions to women and their right to do things.
